Recap: Hope Spoken 2015
I honestly can't believe it's already been a year since I was there and that just a few weeks ago I was at Hope Spoken for the second year. If you read my recap last year then you knew I was pretty nervous going to a Women's conference that was faith base but this year, it felt different but in a great way. I was much more confident in my faith this time around and truly was able to embrace this conference without hesitation. It's amazing how the Lord works behind the scene to ease my nervousness and anxiety and it just took me truly opening up my heart and trusting in Him and that I did belong there. I really needed this weekend to happen and I am so glad I was able to be present and have the opportunity to hear an amazing line up of speakers share their stories with us.
On the first night, we got the honor to hear Jen Hatmaker speak and man, her words are good. I also got to hear from other amazing ladies like Lynsey with Five Checks and a Farmer , Anna with In Honor of Design , Meg with Whatever , and one of my most favorite is Stephanie Holden. It's funny how we tend to think that these woman have super powers and that we just can't compare to them and we are quick to judge and assume they would never want to talk to us but that is so not the case, all the amazing woman at Hope Spoken are just like you and I and have struggles that are real yet they live to tell them and inspire us to have Hope.
There lovely ladies were my small group for the weekend and what a blessing they were. Each of these ladies had a story to tell and I am thankful I was able to share in the joy and struggles each of them face and live yet when we were all together, the hope was real and the support was beyond compare. I feel truly blessed to have been given the opportunity to bond with them. Me being at Hope Spoken was exactly what I needed. I need a weekend away from the busy schedules, the daunting to do lists, and I just need to be present for Him and what he had planned for me during this time with all these amazing ladies. I left with a sense of great Hope and fulfillment. If you weren't able to attend Hope Spoken this year, I highly suggest you try to attend next year. Tickets will go on sale May 1st and you can read more here about the line up of speakers for 2016.
