Hey Thuy: Day Date with Old Urban Trolley
A few weeks ago, the Mister and I had a day date on the Old Urban Trolley and we had the best time. If you have never heard of the Old Urban Trolley, it is exactly like it sounds. It's a trolley that takes you on a tour of downtown Tulsa and gives you all the history of Tulsa and the downtown buildings. Being a Tulsa native, I was amazed on how little I knew about Tulsa's history and how many cool things happened backed in the 1920's. Who knew that Swan Lake used to be an amusement park called Cherry Park and that is why we have Cherry Street. During the tour, you will get a chance to walk through the various buildings and learn more about the amazing design and art detail and learn more of the meaning behind it all. One of my favorite stops was the underground tunnel that was used to go to and from buildings. I would also recommend to put on your walking shoes if you go on the tour.
If you are looking for a fun day date idea, I would highly recommend taking a tour of downtown Tulsa. Old Urban Trolley runs their tours once a month and it's $25.00 a person. It would be fun to grab breakfast downtown and then start your tour which normally goes from 10:00am - 12:00pm. Some of my favorites for breakfast downtown is Antoinette's Bakery, Bramble, Dilly Diner or Brookside by Day. The Old Urban Trolley also can be rented for special occasions and they also run a tour during the holidays as well. I think it would be so fun to take the Trolley during Christmas to tour all the lights.
