Home for the Holidays with Utica Square
I am so excited to partner with Utica Square to share with you how we get ready for the holiday season! I can’t believe Christmas is only 9 days away but I am almost finish wrapping up all the details including all our gifts and then I will be able to enjoy all our family coming in town!
This season, I did a lot of my shopping at Utica Square as I just love the atmosphere during the holiday seasons plus I love supporting several of the local stores in Utica Square.
One of our family traditions is to always add a new ornament to our tree each year and just fell in love with these bubble letter ornaments from West Elm Tulsa. I got one for each person in our family and I also got a few gold metal stars to add to our tree as well as I love all the gold accents and they look just adorable on our tree.
Now I am sure with Christmas around the corner, you are prepping your home to host family and of course getting the perfect gifts so I wanted to share with you some of the gifts I am giving this year and give you several ideas in case you are doing some last minute shopping too!
So, let’s talk hostess gifts! December is a busy month of holiday parties, dinners at friends and family and no one likes to come empty handed. As I mentioned my ornaments earlier, those would also make such a great gift for any family to hang on their tree. I also love these throw blankets from West Elm Tulsa as they as basically ready for gift giving and you can easily throw in a gorgeous candle from Anthropologie or a cute agate coaster which is a very popular gift right now.
Now if you are having family staying over the holidays, let me give you some tips and ideas for being the best hostess! I always make as I am preparing our guest room for family to visit is to make there are clean sheets on the bed and I absolutely love Glamorous Wash from The Dolphin Linen because it smells amazing and your guest will want to now what you washed your sheets with. Some other fun ideas is to have a cute candle on the nightstand to make it a little more cozy, a personalize coffee mug like this one from Pottery Barn and comfy slippers to wear around from The Loft.
Now we have our hostess and our family taken care of, let’s talk about the kiddos! Does anyone else just love Christmas jammies as much as I do?! I always get new jammies for the family but as the boys are getting older, it gets harder for me to find us all matching jammies so this year, I went a different route and just got everyone new holiday jammies and I knew I would find the perfect set at The Lolly Garden for Tyler plus the entire store is just adorable and I also loved all the fun gift wrapping options too!
If you are still needing to shop for the guy in your life, I found so many goodies at Gearhead Outfitters including this Patagonia pull over that I can’t wait to gift the Mister! If you haven’t been in there, you should definitely check them out.
Ok, last but not least and probably one of the hardest gifts to pick out or for me at least is stocking stuffers! I don’t ever like to fill the boy’s stockings with junk and I like to be somewhat practical with my gifts but I do like to add a few fun things and you guys, this disco ball light for your smart phone is ALL THE THINGS! It is so fun and bright and makes the perfect little stocking stuffer for anyone big or small. I got mine at The Snow Goose and they had tons in stock in case you need to grab a few for your stockings too! If you haven’t stopped in The Snow Goose before, it is a really cool store and you will never know what goodies you will find!
I hope you found all my tips and gift ideas helpful and if you are still shopping for that perfect gift, be sure to head out to Utica Square as I am sure they will have the perfect gift you are looking for plus don’t forget to take the kiddos to see Santa as it is one of my favorite traditions I like to do with my boys!
